18th Annual Morgan Adams Concours d’Elegance Cancelled Due to COVID-19

Ever-changing COVID-19 challenges force the cancellation of this important annual kids’ cancer research fundraising event

Denver, CO
– After prolonged and very careful consideration, The Morgan Adams Foundation Board of Directors and the Morgan Adams Concours d’Elegance Committees have made the difficult yet necessary decision to cancel the 18th Annual Morgan Adams Concours d’Elegance, which was scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Centennial Airport in Englewood, Colorado.

“We are extremely disappointed that we are unable to hold our Concours event this year,” said Executive Director Joan Slaughter, “but as times remain so uncertain, and the continued health and safety of our guests, exhibitors, patient Ambassadors, volunteers and the Centennial Airport community, who remains so supportive of our efforts, are of paramount importance to us, we believe this truly is the correct decision.”

“This event is the cornerstone of our fundraising year, so the implications for us are sizeable. This was not a decision we made lightly, but our guests and families are our primary concern. Unfortunately, kids and teenagers are still diagnosed with cancer every day – and the coronavirus pandemic underscores for us more than ever how much our incredibly vulnerable patient population needs better treatment options for their cancer types,” said Morgan Adams Foundation Board Chairman, John Dudasch. “We know real investment in pediatric-specific cancer research is a critical mission, and with the help of our community, we will continue this important work in spite of this revenue loss.”

The Foundation is asking for community support to help overcome the more than $500,000 deficit created by the loss of revenue from the event. To make a donation to support The Morgan Adams Foundation’s mission to end kids’ cancer, please visit www.morganadamsconcours.org.

We look forward to seeing everyone in August of 2021, bigger and better than ever!
